Protective potential of fresh orange juice against zinc oxide nanoparticles‐induced trans‐placental and trans‐generational toxicity in mice

Due to the emerging applications of nanoparticles, human exposure nanoparticles is unavoidable, particularly zinc oxide (ZnO NPs), owing their wide range usage. The ongoing study aimed evaluate trans-generational toxic potential ZnO NPs through F0 mothers, in F1 pups and mature offspring protective fresh orange juice (OJ). Twenty-eight mothers were randomly allocated into four groups (n = 7), control; untreated, dose group; exposed NPs, dose+antidote coadministered + OJ, antidote during organogenetic period. Fifty percent subjected cesarean sections on 18th day gestation recovered, macro-photographed, dissected for liver evisceration, while 50% underwent standard delivery. After parturition, examined, blood samples extracted. Observations showed that preparturition postparturition resulted decreased body weight, increased elevated levels ALT AST significantly p ≤ .05 as compared control groups. Histopathological analysis maternal livers intoxicated with disruptive structure central vein, hepatocytes, Kupffer cells morphological deviations distorted development tissue congestion, contrast control. even at postnatal week 8 pyknotic nuclei activated against But case Dose+antidote group, alterations less severe than group. It can be concluded instigates teratogenicity hepatotoxicity pups, offspring, respectively, acts a remedial agent abovementioned toxicities.
